JERUSALEM -- The Israeli military said Wednesday afternoon in a statement that it launched a new wave of airstrikes on southern Lebanon targeting "several Hezbollah infrastructure sites."

SEOUL -- A passenger ferry carrying 267 people on Wednesday ran aground in waters off western South Korea, according to the coast guard.
It was reported to the coast guard around 8:17 p.m. local time (1117 GMT) that the 26,546-ton passenger ferry with 246 passengers and 21 crew members on board went aground in waters near an island of Sinan county, about 310 km southwest of the capital Seoul. (South Korea-Grounded Ferry)

ISLAMABAD -- Twenty-three terrorists were killed in two separate engagements on Nov. 16 and 17 in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Tuesday.
During the first engagement, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district of the province on the reported presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement. (Pakistan-Terrorist-Engagement)

GAZA -- A Palestinian woman and her child were injured by Israeli fire in southern Gaza on Wednesday, while three fishermen were arrested by Israeli naval forces off the coast of Gaza City, according to Palestinian sources.
An Israeli missile targeted a group of Palestinians attempting to return home in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, seriously injuring a Palestinian woman and her child, according to Spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza Mahmoud Basal and local eyewitnesses.
