MOSCOW, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed regret on Wednesday over Poland's decision to shut down the last remaining Russian consulate, saying bilateral relations have "completely degraded."
Quoted by the TASS news agency, Peskov said Warsaw is effectively trying to reduce diplomatic ties with Moscow to zero. His remarks came after Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said Poland had revoked permission for the Russian Consulate General in Gdansk to operate.
"This is probably another manifestation of this degradation, a desire by the Polish authorities to eliminate any possibility of consular or diplomatic relations," Peskov said. "This has nothing to do with common sense." Enditem
