Saihanba, situated between northern China's Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was a barren wasteland when a forest farm was first set up 55 years ago. Thanks to the diligent work from several generations of forestry experts and workers, it has become China's largest man-made woodland. Saihanba has been called a classic example of ecology protection in China.
