#Village Super League

From May to July 2023, a rural football tournament nicknamed "Cun Chao" or "Village Super League" held in Rongjiang county, southwest China's Guizhou province, gained widespread popularity online due to its spirited atmosphere and distinctive ethnic-style competition format. The players in the tournament come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including vendors, farmers, tilers, butchers and factory workers, and represent various ethnic groups such as the Miao, Dong, Shui, Han and Yao.

As a trending sports event during summer 2023, the Village Super League enabled people to experience the vibrancy of rural development and the promotion of a healthy China.
