Kearney, a leading global management consulting firm, recently released its annual Global Cities Report in conjunction with top academic and business advisors from across the world.

As part of the report, the Global Cities Index (GCI) was unveiled, with China's Beijing and Hong Kong making the top 10 list.

The GCI is a metric that seeks to quantify the extent to which a city can attract, retain and generate global flows of capital, people and ideas. This year's GCI measures the performance of 156 cities around the world across Kearney’s standard five dimensions: business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience and political engagement.
