Swimmers from Japan and the United States broke three championship records at the world youth swimming championships on Tuesday.
In the girls' 400 IM prelim, Japanese Miyu Otzuka clocked 4:43.29 minutes, bettering Dagny Knutson's 2008 record of 4:43.49.
In the boys' 100 meters breaststroke competition, Japanese Akihiro
Yamaguchi timed 1:02:00 to beat Briton Daniel Sliwinski's mark by 19 hundredths.
The U.S. 4x200 freestyle team clocked 8:03.83 to shatter their own record of 08:04.49.
