Nagarjuna's Madhyamaka-karika is the most im portant classic of the Madhyamika School. It contains the essentials of Nagarjun as thought in 27 short chapters. In the present edition, the annotations of the first 23 chapters were made by Gos Rampa Sonam Sengge (1429-1469), a Buddhist scholar of Tibetan Buddhist Sakya Sect.
