Despite the heat, construction continues on the Changle Shida Changsheng Chemical Co. organic material project in Changle county.

The 2.65 billion yuan project is expected to produce 1 million tons of organic chemical material per year, at a production value of 10 billion yuan.

The Changle Shida project follows 'Breakthrough Coast,' the first of Changle's economic zones. That plan, developed by the Weifang government, will include a 5,000 acre industry park for new energy and maritime engineering. Two of the park's projects have been completed so far with a total investment of 4.65 billion yuan. Changle is expected to speed the construction of the park's additional projects.
