GUANGZHOU, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- China's Olympic champion Gong Lijiao triumphed in the women's shot put at the 15th National Games here on Sunday, clinching her fifth consecutive title of the event.
The 36-year-old veteran, representing Hebei Province, threw 19.68 meters at her fifth attempt to secure the gold. Her teammates Zhang Linru and Ma Yue, reaching their personal bests with 19.47m and 19.33m for the silver and bronze respectively.
Gong won her first National Games title in 2009 in Jinan, Shandong Province. She came out an Olympic champion in Tokyo in 2021. Enditem
