Statistics from askci.com, a professional market research institute in China, show that China produced a total of 1.98 million tons of instant noodles during the first quarter of 2012, an 18.31 percent increase compared to that same period of last year.
Henan Province produced 546,600 tons of instant noodles during the first three months of 2012, a 26.5 percent increase in comparison with that same period of last year, accounting for 27.54 percent of the national total. It was followed by Hebei, Sichuan and Anhui.
In March 2012, the country produced a total of 747,000 tons, a 19.96 percent increase.
