1) Top 3 rare earth firms to be named
The Chinese government is expected to convene a high level meeting with industry officials this week to discuss the consolidation of rare earth production in southern China. If implemented, a regulation released by the State Council last month would increase the market share of three ion-absorbed rare earth firms in southern China to 80 percent. The names of the three companies are expected to be released this week.
