Editor's note: The National Aquatics Center in Beijing shone on Nov. 13 as athletes, esports players and entertainers gathered for an annual Weibo Night gala.

The extravaganza featured live performances, audience interactions, and awards for standout athletes, including volleyball icon Jenny Lang Ping, table tennis star Deng Yaping, badminton champion Lin Dan and diving legend Wu Minxia. The gala also honored the World Humanoid Robot Games, which were held earlier this year in Beijing.

Organizers said the gala underscored passion, perseverance and competition, highlighting the venue's unique role as a hub for world-class cultural and sporting spectacles.
